Prep Softball: Warriors thrash Benson/Hancock

BENSON — BOLD scored six unearned runs in the top of the fourth to blow open a West Central Conference game and down the Benson/Hancock Brave Owls 13-4 on Tuesday.

The teams were tied 3-3 before the Warriors erupted in the fourth, thanks to several Brave Owl miscues.

Pitcher Morgan Flann earned the win and also was 4-for-5 with four RBIs.

Paige Larson was 3-for-5 with five RBIs and she scored twice. Lauren Kopel was 2-for-5 with two RBI and she scored two runs. Bailey Elbert was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Benson’s Kayla Crowell was 2-for-4, Samantha Payne was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Payten Doscher drove in two runs.

Madyson Krienke had one RBI.
