Prep Baseball: YME tumbles KMS, 10-5

GRANITE FALLS -- Yellow Medicine East had three of its four hits in the fourth inning and plated five runs en route to an 11-5 triumph over Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in non-conference baseball action on Friday.

The hits came conescutively: a two-run double by Derek Dyrdahl, a two-run single by Hunter Lecy and a RBI single by Mason Hegna adding up to a five-run inning.

The hits came off reliever John Glimsdahl but starter Lee Keil took the loss.

Aaron Zimmer and Taylor Freetly each singled and doubled for the Saints (0-4).

Travis Enger got the win with five innings of relief.

Shaun Condon's two-run double in the third inning broke a 2-2 tie and put MACCRAY in the lead to stay.

Jordan Smith, who started this season with eight hits and three walks in 11 plate appearances, and Tyler Wrede each drove in a run with a single in the inning.

Kelly Siverhus earned the win with three innings of relief pitching. He allowed one hit and struck out two. Smith collected the save.
