WILLMAR — Singles from Wyatt White and Evan Haugen and a Willmar error allowed New London-Spicer to score twice in the seventh inning and rally past Post 1639 6-5 Tuesday at Baker Field.

Willmar had a 5-2 lead after four innings, but NLS scored twice in the fifth and seventh while Willmar was held to just two hits — a single from Garrit Kooistra and a double from Tyler Johnson — and failed to score over the final three innings.

Blake Schuck was 3-for-4 and drove in two runs, and winning pitcher Landon Tanner also drove in two runs at the plate to ignite the NLS offense.

Sam Vreeman doubled twice and Johnson and Kooistra also had two hits apiece for Willmar.

Up next for Willmar is a road game at Starbuck next Tuesday.
