KMS turns back RCW

SACRED HEART -- In an error-filled Camden North Conference baseball game on Thursday, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg upended Renville County West 7-2.

The Fighting Saints outhit RCW 9-5. Both teams made five errors.

The win boosts KMS (7-4, 10-6) into second place. RCW (8-5) drops to third. MACCRAY closed out the loop Thursday with a win over Lakeview, finishing 13-0.

Jonah Johnson and Lee Keil had two hits apiece for KMS, which scored in every inning except the fifth and seventh. Keil, Marc Beckman and Jordan Helms drove in a run apiece.

Ben Trochlil drove in a run for the Jaguars.
