Boys Tennis: Monte blanks MACCRAY

MONTEVIDEO -- By winning each match in straight sets, Montevideo ended the regular season Friday by blanking MACCRAY 7-0 in a non-conference match.

Only once did the Thunder Hawks (8-6) lose more than three games in a set, but Walker Danielson and Darin Stevens bounced back after winning a first-set tiebreaker to win 6-0 at 1-doubles.

Jason Neville and Adam Peters didn't lose a game in their 2-doubles match, while Sahnje McGonigle at 3-singles and Devin Johnson at 4-singles each won 6-0 in their second sets.

The Thunder Hawks host Pipestone in a first-round match of the Section 3A playoffs Monday at 4:30 p.m. MACCRAY, also in 3A, plays at top-seeded Luverne Monday at 4:30 p.m.
