PAYNESVILLE - Sam Haines and Nick Gabrielson both had a pair of hits and Austin Imholte worked a complete game as Paynesville downed BBE 6-2 on Thursday in the West Central Tribune Game of the Week.

Imholte scattered six hits, walked one and struck out four to get the win in the Central Minnesota Conference matchup.

BBE's Ryan Illies had two hits and drove in a run.

Paynesville plays at Minnewaska at 7 p.m. Friday.

Dylan Rudningen drove in the game's only run in the sixth inning and Weston Gjerde and Jake Magaard teamed up on a three-hitter as KMS defeated Yellow Medicine East on Thursday in Sunburg.

In the sixth, Brandon Rasmussen reached on a fielder's choice, stole second, moved to third on an error and scored on Rudningen's single.

Gjerde started and got the win, working 6-1/3 innings.

The Saints play host to ACGC at 5 p.m. Friday in Sunburg.

Minneota's Tanner Hennen allowed just three hits and struck out seven in a Camden Conference win over Renville County West on Thursday in Sacred Heart.

RCW's Jack Howard had a hit and drove in a first-inning run and Trent Kjersten had two hits, including a double.

The Jaguars travel to play Lakeview at 4:30 p.m. Friday in Cottonwood.
