WILLMAR - Blake Hisken found the back of the net twice and Zach Courtney delivered a clean sheet as Willmar downed Alexandria 3-0 for its third straight win on Tuesday at the Kennedy School pitch.

Still undefeated in Central Lakes Conference play at 3-0, Willmar will hit the road to take on St. Cloud Tech on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Willmar's Cardinals were in control throughout the contest, owning possession at midfield and significantly limiting the Alexandria Cardinals' chances.

Hisken broke through in the 20th minute to open the scoring on an assist from Cole Monson.

The Cardinals would take a 2-0 lead into halftime in the 33rd minute when a left-foot strike by Vicente Cisneros found its way past Alexandria goalkeeper Zach Wosepka.

Cisneros repaid the favor in the second half with an assist on Hisken's second goal in the 61st minute. Cisneros knocked down a free kick with his chest and passed it right to Hisken's feet and he found the corner of the goal to put Willmar up 3-0 in the 61st minute.

Alexandria's threats were spaced out throughout the game, but Courtney stepped up whenever they came. With six saves, it was the goalkeeper's second clean sheet in the team's last three games.
