Prep Football: BOLD rumbles on; ACGC, NLS both blank opponents

OLIVIA — Montevideo kept things close but it was BOLD's persistent offense and staunch defense that ultimately proved to get the better of the Thunder Hawks in a 58-6 win Friday night.

Jordan Sagedahl was hyper-efficient for the Warriors, going 8-for-11 for 206 yards and four passing touchdowns.

Gavin Vosika started his productive night when he grabbed the first touchdown of the day in the opening quarter. He finished with four catches for 127 yards and six carries for 57 rushing yards.

KMS got on the board in the fourth quarter on Oscar Padilla's 4-yard TD run. Caleb Collins led the Saints with eight solo tackles and Brandon Rasmussen and Dylan Rudningen both had eight total stops.

RCW 34, WWG 30

Jack Howard hit Connor Aalderks for an 8-yard touchdown pass from 1:27 remaining to lead Renville County West over Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Friday in Danube.

Jamie Castillo caught a 93-yard scoring pass from Howard in the third quarter to put RCW up 28-14, but WWG responded with two fourth-quarter TDs to take a 30-28 lead with 4:34 to play.

On the Jaguars' final drove, Howard hit Jaden Kolkner on a 4th down-and-12 play to keep the drive alive with 3:30 to play.

Howard threw for 306 yards and three TDs and he and Tino Salinas also ran for scores.

Castillo had 155 receiving yards.

The Jags play host to Hills-Beaver Creek at 7 p.m. Friday.

Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart knocked off previously unbeaten Sleepy Eye-St. Mary's for a 30-20 Homecoming victory.

The Mustangs trailed 20-15 after three quarters but bounced back with a pair of Zachary Reuber touchdown runs to earn the victory.

"The mud bowl went in our favor tonight," BLHS head coach Dan Krause said. "The place was crazy. It was a lot of fun."

BLHS quarterback Brock Luthens finished the game with 22 carries for 146 yards and 7-for-11 passing for 99 yards.
