Prep baseball: MACCRAY overpowers Minneota

RAYMOND — MACCRAY smoked Minneota pitching, rolling up 16 hits in a 14-6 win over the Vikings on Monday in a Camden Conference game.

MACCRAY took over the game wearly, scoring eight runs in the first three innings off Minneota starting pitching Jordan Beck.

The offensive attack was highlighted by Dylan Abraham, who was 4-for-4. Abraham hit a two-run home run in the fourth, and he also doubled and drove in six runs.

Cody Boonstra was 3-for-4 with an RBI and he scored three runs.

Tyler Dunner had two hits and three RBIs and Derick Sommers had two hits, drove in a run and scored twice.

Carter Asche worked all seven innings for the victory.

The Wolverines play at Dawson-Boyd at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
