Boys Golf Roundup: Dragons scorch home course with a 290 in Wright County Conference play

LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield Dragons shot a sizzling 290 Thursday on their home course to gain some ground in the Wright County Conference boys golf race.

Jordan Redepenning led Litchfield with a 71.

Jordan Peters of first-place Delano was medalist with a 68.

Orono, which shot 302, continues to lead with 1,517 total strokes followed by the Dragons with 1,539.

Joey Dreier’s 72 led New London-Spicer, which posted a 309.

The final meet is Monday at Baker National Golf Club, Orono’s home course.

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa moved ahead of Osakis for second place in the standings after finishing a close second to front-runner Rockford (166-169) in the second-to-last conference meet of the season.

BBE had Jordan Lewis tied for second at 39 and Carl Knutson and Jackson Gregory tie for fifth at 41. Rockford hosts the conference finale next Thursday at Shamrock Golf Course in Corcoran.
