'Dig for a Cure' night at college on Wednesday

WILLMAR -- The Ridgewater Lady Warriors volleyball team will be helping to raise money to donate to the Minnesota chapter of the American Cancer Society to help fight breast cancer.

The Lady Warriors will wear pink uniforms Wednesday night when they host the NJCAA Division III's No. 1-ranked team, Rochester, at 6:30 p.m. at the college in what is being termed "Dig for a Cure" night. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Admission will only be $1 for anyone wearing a pink t-shirt, Ridgewater head coach Joe Sussenguth announced.

Rochester brings a 6-0 MCAC Southern Division and 20-1 overall record into the match. The Yellowjackets swept Ridgewater 3-0 earlier this season.

Ridgewater is currently 5-1 in the Southern Division and 13-4 overall.

The Lady Warriors host Fergus Falls on Friday night.
