College Softball: Ridgewater's Roeilike, Bodin named 1st team All-American
WILLMAR -- Ridgewater College landed two players on the NJCAA Division III All-American team.
Sophomore shorstop Emily Roelike of Belgrade and sophomore catcher Brandi Bodin of Clara City were both named to the 10-player first team, it was announced recently.
Roelike batted .518 in the leadoff spot and led the team with 14 home runs, 88 runs and 37 stolen bases in 38 attempts. She also drove in 61 runs and rapped 38 doubles.
Bodin batted a team-high .525 and led the Lady Warriors with 36 doubles, seven triples and 65 RBI. She also had eight home runs and scored 64 runs.
Both Roelike and Bodin had a robust .557 on-base percentage.
Ridgewater won the MCAC Southern Division, state and Region 13 titles. They finished seventh at the nationals in Rochester.
