College Softball: Riverland’s 10-run inning sinks Ridgewater

AUSTIN — Ridgewater surrendered 10 second-inning runs in a 15-10 softball loss at Riverland Saturday.

Leading 7-4 going into the bottom of the second, the Warriors couldn’t get off the field, as the Red Devils grabbed a lead they wouldn’t surrender.

Though the Ridgewater offense was potent, blasting 19 hits, several potential runs were stranded, as the Warriors managed to leave the bases loaded in four consecutive innings.

Jennifer Sommers went 3-for-3 with three RBIs, while Jordin Delzer was 4-of-5 with two driven in. A scheduled second game was cancelled due to rain.
