Warriors remain unbeaten in MCAC

WILLMAR — Just hours removed from its biggest win in some time, the Ridgewater volleyball team had no letdown against Western Tech Saturday.

Baylie Kubesh had 30 assists, five aces and eight digs and the Warriors coasted to a 25-17, 25-20, 25-14 win.

Hailey Leiding added a team-best 10 kills and was second on the team with 12 digs, one fewer than leader Lexie Skoglund.

The Warriors, who beat reigning Division-III national champion Rochester the night before, are now 8-0 in the MCAC.

"Despite being a little tired and quiet, we found ways to score from behind the service line and at the net," Warriors head coach Joe Sussenguth said. "We're now over halfway through divisional play and we feel good about our progress."

Ridgewater gets 10 days off before hosting St. Cloud Technical College at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 5.
