Kubesh leads Warriors over Minnesota West

WORTHINGTON — Baylie Kubesh had 29 assists, five kills and six digs, and Ridgewater volleyball stayed unbeaten in the MCAC with a 3-0 win at Minnesota West Wednesday.

The Warriors won 25-14, 25-21, 25-16.

Kubesh was one of five Ridgewater players with five or more kills. Hailey Leiding and Ashley Froelich led the way with 10 apiece.

Catelyn Haug also had a strong game with six kills, a service ace and a team-best nine digs.

Coach Joe Sussenguth said the match "probably wasn't one of the cleanest we've played" but said his offense and defense were both efficient enough to win.

The Warriors are off until Oct. 20 and 21, when they travel to Coon Rapids for the MCAC Crossover.
