Ridgewater 13, Anoka Ramsey 7

Ridgewater kept its playoff run alive with a hit parade against Anoka-Ramsey during the second game on the Region 13 tournament in St. Cloud Thursday afternoon.

The Warriors racked up 22 hits and scored 13 runs in an overpowering performance. Andrea Olson stuffed the box score with a 4-for-5 game at the plate that included three doubles, three stolen bases and three runs scored. Abby Oberg joined her with four hits of her own and Kimmy Trulock, who went 7-for-8 on the day, went 3-for-4 in game two with a double and two RBIs.

"We played with a lot of energy," said Ridgewater head coach Datri Jensen. "We really bounced back well."

Ridgewater now moves on to a one-game playoff with St. Cloud Technical Community College, who narrowly defeated the Warriors in the playoff opener Thursday. The winner of that game will move on to face North Dakota State College of Sciences where they will have to win two in order to move on to the national tournament.

"St. Cloud is a beatable team," Jensen said. "We're evenly matched, it's just about who shows up. As long as we do what we need to do, it's definitely a game we could have. We caught around on their pitcher, that was a huge confidence booster for the girls. We just need to keep the momentum now."
