MONTEVIDEO—Jordyn Mortensen hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning as ACGC capped a comeback and defeated Montevideo 8-7 in Game Two of a West Central Conference doubleheader on Thursday.

ACGC took the first game 7-4, holding off a Thunder Hawks' rally in the final inning after building a 7-0 lead.

In the second game, ACGC's Pailey Wilner had two hits and drove in three runs and Rylie Wilner had two hits and Alex Hovey and Jade Bierwerth both drove in runs.

Montevideo's Lexi Brockmoller and Kari Fragodt both had two hits and Sydney Zindel and Alissa Eickhoff both had singles and both drove in two runs.

In Game One, ACGC's Madison Denton had two hits and drove in two runs, and Pailey Wilner, Rachel Wilner and Brittney Schultz all had two hits and drove in runs.

Montevideo's Sydni Streich had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs and Kari Fragodt also had two hits, including a double.

New London-Spicer trailed by just two runs in the fifth inning but Rockford exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the inning to wrap up both teams' regular season schedule on Thursday in Rockford.

NLS' Sam Johnson had two hits, including a double, and Brianna Deming and Katelyn Nordmeyer both had hits and RBIs.
