Stingers suspended due to rain

DULUTH — The Willmar Stingers and Duluth Huskies made it through the third inning before being stopped by bad weather Friday at Wade Stadium.

The game will be resumed Tuesday at Duluth starting at 5:05 p.m. The regularly scheduled game will begin after the makeup game.

The Stingers were leading 1-0 when play was suspended, thanks to a Jake Gronsky home run to dead center, his first of the season. Abe Bobb pitched three hitless innings.

The Stingers play at 7:05 p.m. today at Bill Taunton Stadium against the Rochester Honkers. They are 19-10 in the Northwoods League North Division.
