Prep Tennis: Card tennis team falls in Alex

ALEXANDRIA—A trio of Fischers earned the Willmar tennis team's points in a 4-3 loss to Alexandria on Thursday.

Peyton Fischer defeated Matt Vogel 6-4, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, and Will Fischer took home a 7-6, 6-4 over Jacob Partington at No. 2 singles. Hunter Fischer earned the Cardinals' other point with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win over Alex Jost a No. 3 singles.

Litchfield edged Holy Family on Thursday thanks to a pair of wins in singles and doubles.

The Dragons got wins from No. 1 singles player Trevor Meyer and from No. 4 singles player Griffin Kinny.

Litchfield's No. 2 doubles team of Payton Prahl and Jack Osterberg won their match and the team of Alex Gruenke and Ben Nelson got a win at No. 3 doubles.
