Offensive coordinator Jim Jackman works with the backs on Bierman Field, a practice area and home field for the eighth- and ninth-grade teams. Dragons head coach Jon Johnson said the field is being named after Bernie Bierman, the Litchfield native who was captain and All-America on the Minnesota Gophers' 1915 conference champion and later coached Minnesota's first national championship team in 1934.
