The Kandi Entertainment Center in Willmar offered more than just bowling during its nearly 40 years of business. It was a favorite place to hold weddings and birthday parties, with a dance floor upstairs.

The Kandi Entertainment Center, opened in 1979 by Orvis Pattison, is now closed. Pattison said the combination of low bowling league numbers, increased property taxes and high expenses caused the family to decide to close the entertainment complex.
