Korean War and Navy aviation veteran Leonard Isdahl places American flags on Saturday morning at the graves of military service members buried at Mamrelund Cemetery in rural Pennock. More than 2,000 flags have been placed in Kandiyohi County for Memorial Day observances.

Benson School Board members voted nearly one year ago to close the indoor pool at the end of the 2015-2016 school year rather than invest in new lighting for it.
