Walkers of all ages cross the starting line of the Alzheimer's Walk Saturday morning at Robbins Island in Willmar. Many sported their purple colors in honor of a loved one lost to Alzheimer's or dementia. The seventh annual event reportedly drew a record number of walkers with well over 550 participants and 39 teams. The walk brought in $54,000 on a goal of $68,000, according to organizers. People can still make a donation at alz.org/walk and search Willmar, through December 31.
