Fred Zwart of New London, right, is shown in this 2006 file photo providing a carriage ride in Spicer during Winter Fest. The well-known horseman died Thursday after being injured Dec. 10 after his horses were apparently spooked. Zwart was credited by witnesses with keeping the wagon from flipping over and seriously injuring more people.
