Willmar's Jessa Hanson, back row left, races Emily Kompelien and Amanda Mosborg of Edina to the finish line in Saturday's Class AA state cross country finals. Willmar runners Jessa Hanson (2931), Kayla Rudie (back), Serena Monson and Sophie Schmitz begin the girls race at the Willmar Invitational on Saturday at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Willmar. Hanson placed second, Rudie was fourth, Schmitz placed third and Monson was 14th for the meet-winning Cards.
