Firefighters from the Willmar, Raymond and Pennock fire departments responded around 12:30 p.m. Saturday to 3843 15th Ave. S.W. -- an address along state Highway 40 just west of Willmar -- for a controlled burn that got out of control. According to Willmar Fire Chief Marv Calvin, the owner of the property was burning brush and trees, but also burned a barn and granary.
