Pre-school story hour began Wednesday at the Willmar Public Library with the theme "Talk like a pirate," and Quinn Peterson, 3, of Willmar, above, looked just the part. Story hours are scheduled from 10-10:30 a.m. and 2-2:30 p.m. each Wednesday through Oct. 28. Future events will center on llamas, popcorn, fall and pumpkins. Children must be at least 3 years old to attend.

Black Dog Pets, a pet shop located on South First Street in Willmar, had dogs and cats on hand for the program, which was established for children between the ages of 4 and 8.
