Kandiyohi County Emergency Management is urging people to register for its Citizen Alert System in order to be informed and prepared in the event of severe weather. The service is free and "easy to sign up for."

Kandiyohi County will apply this week for $150,000 in state grant money for a potential expansion of Games Lake County Park. The 4.3 acres of land could be developed with walking trails or other enhancements, but those decisions will come later if the land is purchased.
