Thursday I attended the funeral of Ellsworth "Elsie" Klemmetson along with many past players and friends. I knew Elsie from being the longtime coach of the Willmar VFW baseball teams.

A large crowd was on hand Friday for a bluegrass/gospel-themed performance by the Kingery Family musical group during Life Connections 2010 at Willmar Civic Center. Some 1,200 people were expected to attend the event, which this year included a pancake and sausage breakfast, live music from a variety of performers and seminars on a range of topics, from identity theft to cooking.
