The street in front of Kennedy Elementary School was closed Friday afternoon after a gas line was cut by crews working on the reconstruction of Sixth Street Southwest near the Willmar school. Willmar firefighters responded, along with CenterPoint Energy crews. No injuries were reported. Students, parents and buses were directed to the south side of the school building for pickup as school was dismissing for the day. (Tribune photo by Ron Adams)
