Willmar Municipal Utilities keeps their equipment and large vehicles on Benson Avenue Southwest, located near the main office on Litchfield Avenue. The long-range plan has been to combine the office building and service center into one facility between Seventh Street and 10th Street Southwest and Litchfield Avenue and Pacific Avenue Southwest, but that may not be feasible.

John Harren, current Willmar Municipal Utilities Director of Operations, was chosen as the new permanent general manager at Monday's meeting of the Municipal Utilities Commission. Harren, currently the interim general manger, was the lone finalist for the position.
