Fred Zwart of New London, right, is shown in this 2006 file photo providing a carriage ride in Spicer during Winter Fest. The well-known horseman died Thursday at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. He was injured Saturday after his horse apparently spooked, but he was credited by witnesses with keeping his wagon on the road and not seriously injuring others. Ron Adams / Tribune file photo
