Judd Malvin took third in the 8-year-old division of the Kids Tractor Pedal Pull Friday during Sugar Beet Days in Renville. 
The Renville Fire Department ran the event, along with also co-sponsored by Kibble Equipment, Wertish Auto and Truck Repair. The celebration continues today and Sunday. The parade start at 3 p.m. today with the kiddie parade. (RAND MIDDLETON | TRIBUNE)

The Benson High School Marching Band is in rhythm headed north on Sixth Street Southwest early in the Willmar Fests Grande Day Parade Saturday morning. The mercury was heading toward 80 in bright sunshine, a contrast to a week early when the band marched in a downpour at their own Pioneerland Band Festival.
