During the first couple days of the Touring Ride in Rural Indiana September Escapade, we pedaled past fields where the corn grew so high that it prevented seeing anything else. It was kind of like riding through a tunnel with sunlight. Being from a rural area, I enjoyed it. And the tour was so organized we knew there were points of interest up the road.

The LTD Motorcycle Memorial Tour remembers Army 1st Lt. Jason Timmerman and Sgts. David Day and Jesse Lhotka, who were killed Feb. 21, 2005, in Bagdad, Iraq, while attempting to transport injured personnel to safety. More than 800 riders, seen above during the 2007 event, follow a route that takes them through Montevideo, Marshall, Canby, Madison, Chokio, Alberta, Morris, Holloway and Appleton during the ride.
