An informational meeting in regards to storm-damaged crops will be held Thursday afternoon in Pennock. A number of fields across the region received hail damage as storms moved across the area Sunday morning.

City of Willmar Public Works employees cut branches off a tree that fell around 10 a.m. Friday on the northeast corner of the intersection of Trott Avenue and Ninth Avenue Southwest. Thousands in the region are without power this morning. Winds have whipped power lines together causing outages, and downed tree branches also have caused outages.

Crews work July 18 to replace broken power lines on the east side of Granite Falls after a severe storm July 16 took out power to the entire town. Disaster aid will be on its way to Chippewa and Yellow Medicine counties and the Upper Sioux Community for storm damage to public utilities.
