Jim Halsey, 88, who served with the Marines in the South Pacific in WWII, stands by the Clover Leaf Cemetery grave of his father-in-law Irving Nelson, who fought in Europe in WWI. Jim and his wife Shirley, 87, had just finished caring for the grave marker. The American Legion, VFW and other groups will place over 1,800 flags at the graves of veterans in the Willmar area.
