A catfish working group is proposing that the current limit allowing five total, with no more than two being flathead, be increased to seven total, but retaining the limit of two on flathead. Catfish guru John White holds a channel catfish he caught in the Minnesota River.

The Department of Natural Resources will cut back about 20 percent on stocking fingerling walleye. Accelerated fingerling stocking has not produced greaters numbers. Stocking young fry will continue.
