Council agreement on Wastewater financing package will save taxpayers $670,000

Work continues Monday just south of Kandiyohi County Road 15 on the sewer line for Willmar's new wastewater treatment plant. The plant is being constructed at a site just west of Willmar. The new $80 million plant and conveyance system will replace the city's current plant, which is 70 years old and uses outdated equipment. The new plant is scheduled to be complete and operational sometime in 2011.
