No ice for old men, or anyone, as temperatures well above average leave weak ice Wednesday on Foot Lake and elsewhere around the state. By this time a year ago the Foot Lake ice was speckled with ice houses and vehicles. The mid-afternoon temp was a pleasant 43 degrees in Willmar. (RAND MIDDLETON | TRIBUNE)

Jeff Mills was studying auto mechanics at the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis in 1979 when he realized his real passion was for working on bicycles. After more than three decades of living on the West Coast, he moved back to Montevideo and opened Bicycles and Beyond at 305 North First Street.
