Light decorations stand outside a garage at the Koosman family home in northeast Willmar Wednesday in preparation for the big move. The annual holiday display has grown to include more than 600,000 bulbs, featuring dancing trees, leaping arches, shooting stars, a sky-high cross, candy canes, reindeer and more. The light festival was open six weeks over the holiday season, from Thanksgiving through New Year's.

In the next school year, Willmar Public Schools expects its high school programs to be labeled as needing academic support. The Minnesota Department of Education will designate high schools with a four-year graduation rate less than 67 percent for all students or for any student group, and Willmar has groups under that mark.
