The Willmar Senior High School combined choirs sing at the All Service Club Holiday Luncheon Wednesday at the Willmar Conference Center. The school’s brass ensemble, percussion and strings accompanied the singers, who sang traditional and modern holiday carols. play button

Anna Peterson reads a scripture Saturday during the 65th annual St. Lucia Day Festival at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Peterson is a 2017 Lucia girl. Commonly celebrated in Scandinavian countries, the festival commemorates St. Lucia, who was known to wear a candle-lit wreath while bringing food and aid to those who needed it. The festival marks the beginning of the Christmas season.
