City crews worked to remove a fallen tree Monday morning on the 100 block of Minnesota Avenue Southwest in Willmar. A major branch from a tree was blown down by high winds Monday morning and fell onto a parked car on the street. Much of west central Minnesota remains under a high wind warning until 6 p.m. Monday night.play button

Traffic on U.S. Highway 12 heading west out of Willmar encountered difficult driving conditions. At 11:30 a.m. the wind was 31 mph out of the northwest whipping up the newly fallen snow.
