Using ice blocks that weigh nearly 600 pounds, volunteers build the Spicer Ice Castle on Sunday morning at Saulsbury Beach on Green Lake. The 20-foot-tall structure will be the focal point of Spicer's Winterfest celebration, which kicks off Jan. 20 with fireworks and a lighting ceremony.

Volunteers with the Willmar chapter of Let's Go fishing host Bethesda Daybreak residents on an outing in June. The local volunteers hosted more than 2,000 guests in 2017, a record season.
