Submitted/ The Friends of Fort Ridgely State Park are in need of a sponsor to allow them to lease and maintain the operation of the nine-hole golf course at Fort Ridgely State Park. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is providing the group a reprieve to find a sponsor but will remove the course if none is found.

Submitted  The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has rejected an offer by the city of Fairfax and the Friends of Fort Ridgely State Park to take over and operate the nine-hole golf course at Fort Ridgely State Park. The DNR said it will begin removal of the golf course and restoration of the site this spring.
