The three buildings to be demolished in downtown Appleton are shown above, and include the former Ace Place, Maher's TV and Repair, and Appleton Floral. The buildings are connected by common walls but are considered separate buildings on different parcels. The project calls for leaving intact the living quarters attached to the former Appleton Floral building.

Brightmark Energy of San Francisco, California, is working with the city of Benson in hopes of acquiring a portion of the former Fibrominn property with intentions of developing a refinery to produce biogas. Animal wastes and possibly other organic matter would be used to produce the biogas.
