Central Minnesota Christian School mascot Blaze brought a celebrity tone Friday afternoon to the ceremonial groundbreaking for a new elementary school, walking down a line of elementary students attending the event on the school grounds in Prinsburg.

This rendering by Marcus Construction shows the Central Minnesota Christian School campus with a proposed elementary school to replace the existing facility. Members of the CMCS society will vote Oct. 21 on whether to go ahead with a $6.5 million building project and capital campaign for it.
