WORTHINGTON, Minn. — A former employee of District 218 in southern Minn. vacated her position at the same time she filed a complaint against the district with the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE). District 518 Superintendent John Landgaard confirmed Monday, Feb. 19, that a complaint has been filed with MDE, which will prompt the state to conduct an investigation. The complaint came on the heels of former District 518 Area Learning Center Special Education Instructor Karen Abbott's resignation letter dated Jan. 24.
WORTHINGTON — Area law enforcement officers were called to a familiar location in Worthington, Minn., on Thursday morning, Nov. 9. A tanker, which appeared to be hauling cream, tipped after trying to navigate the Minnesota 60 and Interstate 90 roundabout by JBS in east Worthington. The cream spilled onto the highway while traffic continued to slowly navigate through the roundabout.
