MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The FBI believes authorities disrupted a terrorism attack that was being planned in the Montevideo area after converging on a mobile home that contained Molotov cocktails, suspected pipe bombs and firearms, the agency said Monday. Buford Rogers, 24, of Montevideo, was arrested Friday and charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

EASTON, Minn. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say one person has died in the crash of a small plane in Faribault County. Deputies were called to a field near Easton about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Authorities say the male pilot was alone in the experimental aircraft. KEYC-TV ( http://bit.ly/YptbNa ) reports the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (AP) — A St. Paul science teacher has been named Minnesota's Teacher of the Year for 2013. Megan Olivia Hall teaches grades 7-12 at the Open World Learning Community in St. Paul. She was presented with the award Sunday. Hall had once planned on a career as a doctor, but decided to become a teacher after volunteering and teaching music at St. Joseph's Home for Children in Minneapolis. She says the experience showed her she belonged in a classroom and not a hospital.
