EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Police are still searching for a 24-year-old Eden Prairie woman, a day after the man wanted for questioning in her disappearance shot himself in the head in the police parking lot. Eden Prairie Police Lt. Bill Wyffels says Mandy Marie Matula was reported missing Thursday morning after she didn't show up for work. Police believe she was with 24-year-old David Marshall Roe of Victoria in Miller Park early Thursday.

STILLWATER, Minn. — Work on the new St. Croix (KROY) bridge connecting Minnesota and Wisconsin has been halted after dead zebra mussels were found on six construction barges headed for the river. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is investigating the incident. DNR spokesman Chris Niskanen says none of the barges entered the St. Croix river. Contractor Ed Kraemer & Sons of Plain, Wis., agreed to decontaminate all construction barges. Niskanen says the company properly treated the hulls with 190-degree water, but failed to scrape the hulls.

Eden Prairie police got a call Thursday morning after 24-year-old Mandy Marie Matula of Eden Prairie failed to show up for work. Police believe Matula was at Miller Park in Eden Prairie around 1:30 a.m. Thursday with 24-year-old David Marshall Roe of Victoria. Roe agreed to speak with an investigator, but police say he shot himself in his vehicle in the police parking lot.
