MINNEAPOLIS — Eight months before the University of Minnesota's Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action recommended a suspension of more than two years for Gophers men's basketball player Reggie Lynch, athletics director Mark Coyle was told the senior center had a history of sexual misconduct. It was May 1, 2017, almost exactly a year after the incident in Lynch's dorm room involving a 20-year-old woman that led the EOAA on Thursday, Jan. 4, to recommend the athlete be suspended and banned from campus until at least Aug. 1, 2020.
MINNEAPOLIS — Latavius Murray was reminded this week that he rushed for just 97 yards in the Vikings' first six games. "That's terrible,'' Murray said. Murray, though, has made up for it. In Minnesota's last 10 games, the running back has gained 745 yards. If Murray had that pace for the entire season, he would have rushed for a career-high 1,192 yards.
BALATON, Minn. — Less than five months after The trū Shrimp Co. announced plans to build its first shrimp harbor in Luverne’s industrial park, the Balaton-based business announced Wednesday, Nov. 1, it now intends to build its first hatchery in Luverne. The result represents a $100 million investment in the community. The two operations will share a campus, and be known as Luverne Bay Harbor and Luverne Cove Hatchery.
FARGO – The man accused of landing a deadly punch outside the HoDo Lounge in downtown Fargo was back at the scene of the fight on Thursday, June 29, with a small entourage. Darren Patterson, wife Ashley, attorney Bruce Quick and private investigator Chuck Anderson were seen during the busy noon hour walking up and down the sidewalk, looking up at the HoDo and gesturing toward buildings across the street.
